Truman Presidential Museum & Library

The library's mission is to "draw upon the events, issues and documentation of the life and times of Harry S. Truman to increase understanding of the presidency, public policy, international affairs and citizenship." This site offers general information about library and museum, including staff and services. The library holdings comprise the Papers of Harry S. Truman (over 7 million pages), about 400 collections of personal papers of President Truman's relatives, friends and associates, several groups of federal records, and audiovisual materials. "The museum collection consists of approximately 30,000 objects, primarily three dimensional items and works of art on paper." The institution provides 'Special Subject Guides on Archival Materials'. Several online exhibits and special features are accessible via WWW.
